Horse Boy Method
Born to English / Dutch parents, Nicole has called Thailand home for the past 30 years. She started riding at age 6 and this passion allowed her to become trained in Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing, Classical Dressage, Working Equitation and even Western Riding. She loves horses and her devotion to them and riding is much more than a hobby, it is a vocation. She knows that these amazing animals are capable of expressing a full range of feelings, much like us. The intersection of equine and human emotions creates an incredible bond with immense potential for well-being and healing. The benefits are both physical and emotional, for not only does riding develop balance and strength, but it also promotes kinship, teamwork and friendships. She has witnessed this time and again over the years she has been teaching, both neurotypical kids and those with special needs. In fact her time running an RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) group as a Bangkok Patana student, marked the beginning of her volunteer work with kids with special needs and she treasures the transformations she has witnessed. Which is why when she first heard about Horse Boy Method four years ago while riding in Portugal, (including observing sessions and witnessing the calm and joy which resulted from them in the children and riders assisting them), she immediately knew that this would be her next adventure and journey on horseback. Flash forward to present day and she is thrilled to be part of a team bringing Horse Boy Method and Movement Method to Thailand.
